Chantecler chickens are a hardy and adaptable breed, known for their excellent egg-laying capabilities and cold-weather resilience. Originating in Canada, these birds are a great choice for both small farms and backyard flocks, offering a reliable source of large, brown eggs. Their signature cushion combs are much less susceptible to frostbite, and their dense feathering keeps them warm and dry. Chanteclers are extremely friendly and relaxed birds.
